Congratulations to Allan Cann

Macedon Ranges Shire Council Mayor and LLEN Board member, Cr Janet Pearce, West-Ward Macedon Ranges Shire Council presented the Rotary Club of Woodend with a certificate of recognition for the club’s voluntary involvement in Project Ready last year. Club members conducted interview skills workshops at Kyneton Secondary College and Gisborne Secondary College which were well received by students. Member Allan Cann (pictured here with Janet) received special recognition for his mentoring of students during the Project Ready program over two terms. Congratulations and thank you Allan!

Days for Girls Project

Woodend Rotary conducted a session for the ‘Days for Girls’ project today supported by Bev Sofra and a team from North Balwyn Rotary who conduct monthly sessions. We also had great support from Woodend locals with 30 people attending the event. The photos show the activity and fun had by all who attended. Days for Girls produces sanitary kits for girls in developing countries with kits containing underwear, reusable pads, soap, and washcloth.
